The connection is designed specifically for each project. Below are the standard cases:
Ventilation Connection
As standard, the bathroom pods are equipped with a circular connector for the ventilation valve. The method of attachment is usually determined by the mechanical contractor and is discussed during the initial coordination meeting, which is preliminary to our design work. In some cases, the installation of a horizontal duct section placed above the ceiling may be required, which can be either circular or rectangular. In certain cases, the system may also include a silencer.
Connection to the Plumbing Systems (Hot and Cold Water Supply)
As a standard, the plumbing system is connected to the building’s main network by installing a ¾ connection on the ceiling, above the door, for each line.
Connection to the Wastewater System
As a standard, there is an outlet for the greywater integrated into the thickness of the bathroom pod base, on the side of the technical duct, where the drainage from the washbasin, bidet, and shower is collected. The pipe, with a variable diameter, will extend beyond the perimeter of the pod for a length sufficient to allow connection to the building’s main waste system via a coupling sleeve.
The outlet for the black water drainage is typically located on the wall. In this case as well, the pipe will extend beyond the perimeter of the pod for a length sufficient to allow connection to the building’s main system via a coupling sleeve.
Connection to the Electrical System
The electrical system in our pods ends inside a junction box, where all the various corrugated pipes from the bathroom system will be routed. As a standard, the junction box will be placed on the ceiling, above the door, or in another accessible location for connection.”
